Welcome to another update.
In this episode of my life: Rock 'n' Roll Lifestyles of Pegasus Bridge.
SOOO we played the Roadhouse on Wednesday night, and that was ultra cool. That's right - ultra cool. But the day started with a little drama. "Duh-duh-duuuuuuuuuuuuuuh" I hear you sing. Actually, I was a little stressed. Alex's dad hired us a venue to practise in on the morning of the gig, and the previous night, I got my brand-spanking new amplifier. We set up and plugged in, and all of a sudden, my amp goes REALLY quiet. Not cool. Not cool at all. After much umm-ing and ahh-ing, we took the amp into a local music store, and they discovered...(time for the "duh-duh-duuuuuuuuuuuuh!") that a valve had blown! Crumbs. It turned out to be easily replaceable, and that it was a faulty valve. Thank goodness.
So I got to use my new amp at the gig, and it all went swimmingly after the minor worries of the morning. We didn't make too many mistakes - at least noticeable ones - and so everyone seemed to enjoy it. To top it off, one of the guys who works at the Roadhouse said that as he liked us, he would recommend us to the people he knew at Manchester Academy!
Fabulous, darling.

| Today was an even better day. |

You know when you have one of those days that are just freaking rad? Yeah? Today was better than one of those. Amy and Holly visited today, and we had a super cool day in Manchester, and visited Urbis for a little 'scene-kid spotting' and a trip around the museum, Vinyl Exchange (my all time favourite shop. Ever.) and Frankie & Benny's for lunch. THEEEEN we did more cool stuff which I can't remember all of but was equally fun. Oh! And watched some jazz. Sweet smooth jazz. With the dancing lady at the front of the crowd. She owned the rest of them. They just sat. She got in the groove. Heh. Ahem.
So that was all rad. And there was the balloon man, who made me an AK47. He was nuts. But cool.

| Today was a good day. |

SO! Today I was at Alex's half-built house practising for our gig next week at the Roadhouse, and it went super well, and we have the set pretty much learnt. And I just had liquorice. Mmm. BUT! I fell asleep for like TWO HOURS ZOMG today and got super disorientated and thought it was tomorrow morning and that I was late for seeing Amy and Holly and Cassie and I was like "UH-OH SPAGHETTIO'S!". Then I realised it was still today, and that I had fallen asleep whilst watching Big Brother's Little Brother. Ah, trashy TV. Good stuff, haha.
THAT'S A WRAP.

So I thought, "Hey! Why don't I go and post more on LJ as I really have nothing to do today?". So I did. And here I am.
I'm actually pretty excited at the moment, as my band are playing a gig at the Manchester Roadhouse next week. Thats a big deal for me, I guess. Fall Out Boy, My Awesome Compilation, Straylight Run, The Spill Canvas and blink-182 have all played there, so to say that my crappy little band are playing there too is insane. But only in a totally cool way. We've got a couple of days of solid practising over the next few days, so hopefully we should sound okay next Wednesday. You know, I can never remember whether weekdays should have a capital letter at the start. Blah. I'm sure it doesn't matter all that much.
Some of my ever-so-rad friends are visiting this friday, which should be hypercool. Amy is flying all the way from Southampton to Manchester to hang with us, and Holly is coming from Nottingham. Both of these people are lovely. And I suggest you track them down and befriend them. To make that day even better, Cassie is coming too. She's wonderful. Hehe.
You know, I quite like this whole LiveJournal malarkey. I might frequent this place.
Ciao.

Is it wierd that I already want to go back to school? I mean, I am enjoying my summer holidays and everything, spending loads of time with people I otherwise wouldn't get to see as much, but there's things about school which I'm really missing. Heh. Call me crazy.
I had a pretty cool dream last night in which I was hanging out with a bunch of my school friends. Oh, and that one of my friends who I'm missing lived super close to me and I never realised. Buuuuuuut thats not the case. Oh well.
